WELCOME TO FENDER BOARD
It depends on the size.
A fender board acts as a protective shield between your boat and the quay wall, jetty, or mooring posts – and for it to function perfectly, its length must be appropriate for your boat. For boats up to approximately 8 meters in length, we recommend a fender board 124 cm long. It's lightweight, easy to handle, and offers sufficient surface area to reliably prevent the fenders from slipping up. For boats over 8 meters in length, weight, wind pressure, and movement in harbors, locks, etc., increase significantly. Here, a 149 cm fender board provides better load distribution and noticeably more stability when docking. With large boats over 12 meters, enormous forces are at play. In this range, we recommend a 180 cm fender board or the use of multiple fender boards. For maximum safety, ideally, three fenders should be used per fender board. Ultimately, the right size makes all the difference.

What is a fender board?
A fender board is an accessory used to protect boats when docking. It is a flat, elongated board placed between the boat and the dock/lock to prevent damage to the hull. The fender board distributes the pressure generated during docking evenly over a larger area, thus preventing concentrated stress that could cause damage.
Fender boards are used with conventional (long) fenders that are attached to the sides of the boat.
The main advantages of a fender board are:
Protection against damage: Prevents scratches, dents and other damage to the hull of the boat.
Stability during application: Provides a stable contact surface that distributes pressure evenly.
Versatility: Can be used on various types of jetties and moorings.
Durability: Manufactured (in Cologne) from robust materials that can withstand the conditions of the maritime environment.
When going through locks: Perfect for any sheet pile wall and any concrete wall, no more fender slippage!
