real experience
Everything you need, because size matters!
A fender board is not an accessory.
It's your protective shield between the boat and the sheet pile wall.
For fenders to perform their function perfectly, their length must be appropriate for the boat. The larger your boat, the greater the weight, wind pressure, and movement in the harbor. The correct size ensures that your fenders stay where they belong – and that your boat remains secure.

For boats up to 8 meters
Compact. Lightweight. Perfectly adequate.
On smaller boats, significantly less force acts on fenders and lines. The main goal here is to reliably prevent the fenders from sliding up and to create a stable contact surface.
Our recommendation:
👉 Fender board 124 cm
This length offers the ideal balance of weight, handling and stability – perfect for boats up to approximately 8 m.
For boats over 8 meters
More length equals noticeably more stability.
As boat length increases, the forces in the harbor increase significantly:
Wind, wave action and boat weight have a greater impact on fenders and lines.
Now, one thing matters above all: load distribution.
Our recommendation:
👉 Fender board 149 cm
The additional length provides:
quieter location at the sheet pile wall
better pressure distribution
significantly more security when investing
This is where a Fender guitar board really makes a noticeable difference.

For boats 12 meters and above
Now real forces are at work.
Large yachts generate enormous stresses. Localized pressure points can quickly lead to damage. Therefore, the contact area is crucial.
For boats over 12 m we recommend:
👉 Fender board 180 cm
or
👉 Use of multiple fender boards, each 149 cm
And very important:
In this size class, we recommend using 3 fenders per fender board.
This is how it is created:
maximum load distribution
quiet location in the harbor
Reliable protection even in wind and swell
